Privacy Policy

모여코리아 processes personal data needed to operate MOYEO KOREA as described below.

Effective date: 2026-10-05

1. Purposes and data collected

Account registration and management: email, a hashed password, profile name, country code and phone number, registration date and account identifiers. If you choose social sign-in: we store the Google, Facebook or Apple account identifier to link your account until account closure. Any email supplied is used to check for an existing account and is not stored separately. We do not collect your provider password or store provider tokens after verification. Trip planning and sharing: saved places, itineraries and preferences, room membership and invitations, notes you enter and rental pickup/return details. Booking requests: guest name, contact details, product and option, requested/confirmed time, language, booking status, payment verification status and agreed conditions. Our request form does not collect card numbers. Enquiries: contact details, display name, messages and replies provided through email or WhatsApp. Security and troubleshooting: server access records such as IP addresses and request paths, hashed login rate-limit identifiers and session information. A feature may not be available if information needed for it is not provided.

2. Processing grounds and optional features

We process data as necessary to provide account services and requested bookings or support, on the basis of contract preparation/performance, legal obligations or consent where required. Being discoverable by phone number is optional and is not required to register. Promotional messages require the applicable marketing consent. If sensitive data such as health information is needed, separate legal grounds and notices are required; medical records are not requested in ordinary enquiries.

3. Retention

Account data and linked trip data are retained until account closure or processing of a deletion request. Records subject to legal retention and the rights of other shared-room members are handled separately. Ordinary enquiries are kept for one year after resolution and then deleted. Where Korean electronic-commerce retention requirements apply, contract/withdrawal and payment/supply records are retained for five years, consumer complaint/dispute records for three years, and advertising records for six months, separately for those purposes. Login cookies are valid for seven days. Web-server access logs rotate daily with the latest 14 rotated logs retained. Any additional legal preservation grounds and periods are handled separately.

4. Deletion procedure

Submit access, correction, deletion, processing-restriction or account-closure requests through the email or contact channel below. Following identity verification, unnecessary data is deleted without undue delay. If retention is required by law, the grounds and period will be explained. Electronic records are deleted to prevent recovery; paper records, if any, are shredded. Completed deletion requests must also be applied when restoring backups. Account closure and enquiry deletion are currently handled manually. Rental voucher files are processed temporarily on our server and temporary files are removed when processing ends; trip details you choose to save are retained separately.

5. Sharing and disclosure

Content saved in a trip room is visible to its members. If phone-number discovery is enabled, search results may show your name and a partially masked number. If booking data must be shared with a provider, that provider, purpose, data and retention period will be separately disclosed during booking, with the necessary consent or other lawful basis. This policy is not blanket consent to disclosure to unspecified providers. We do not disclose data to unrelated third parties without legal grounds.

6. Infrastructure and external services

Our server hosting uses SmileServ (iwinv) for website and data-storage infrastructure. Place and route searches use Kakao, Kakao Mobility and Naver; search terms, places and route coordinates are used to fulfil those functions. Loading maps or externally hosted photos may send browser request information, including an IP address, to the provider. When you open booking links for Klook, Agoda, Naver or Catchtable, that operator processes information under its own policy. Opening a link does not itself send your MOYEO KOREA password or booking form to that operator. WhatsApp and Gmail email are external services. Messages and contact details you choose to send may be processed overseas and are also subject to those services’ privacy policies. You may contact our business phone if you do not wish to use them. If MOYEO KOREA separately transfers personal data internationally, the legally required transfer details and grounds will be disclosed separately.

7. Cookies and device storage

Cookies support login sessions and language selection. Browser storage supports features such as draft trip inputs and saved places. You can delete or block cookies and site data in browser settings, but login persistence and draft-saving features may be limited. Sign out and clear site data on shared devices.

8. Safeguards and your rights

Safeguards include HTTPS, one-way password hashing, login sessions and administrator authorisation checks. Access is limited to operational needs and the operator handles deletion and retention requests. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or withdrawal of consent. Requests by a representative require appropriate authority checks; any statutory restriction will be explained.

9. Privacy contact and changes

Privacy contact: operator 임성훈 / support@moyeokorea.com / 1644-9304. Address: 2F, 34 Daehak-ro, Dong-gu, Daejeon, Republic of Korea (Yongun-dong). Contact us for privacy enquiries and rights requests. Changes will be published with their effective date and material updates, with consent obtained where necessary. This policy was first published and takes effect on 5 October 2026.
